Hard to replace IRO

Who could drive a car to a local cafe when you've got a few choices to ride? The IRO ended up getting the pick for the trip down to Panera today. 70 is just about perfect for a short sleeve ride with a messenger bag. The All Terrainasourus tires (35) are perfect for commuting. I get more compliments on that bike that I've gotten on almost all my others. Funny part is it's the cheapest ride I have. I'm sure it is the simple look that it has. Clean lines, tight fitting big tires (for that frame style and size) make it look pretty quick. Unfortunately I'm really interested in finding a garage sale steel lugged frame to replace it. With the compliments and sturdiness of the frame, it's made me much pickier on what will replace it. But I'm almost certain that a lugged style will be the ticket to a more compliant ride. Not just the steel, but also the lugged construction. Anyway, hopefully I can find something just as well suited for my next fixie frame.

Friday I was bummed, my uber thin green michelins are not quite up to the commuting to work duty. Got a flat on the rear, and stupidly didn't bring stuff to fix it. Got me thinking I've never even tried my CO2 cartride, even if I had it. Oh well, I was close to work. Funny part was that I stopped at Skunk River just that morning for some Bike to Work week hospitality.

Well, it's time to enjoy the sunny but windy weather, and take a road ride on the Bianchi!

Good to see you there.

We need to get in some more riding soon. Probably some mountain biking if you're up to it. I know you have that kickass old Bontrager that I'm sure you're dying to get dirty.

Yeah for sure. Just commented the same on another post you commented on. I hope to polish off the rest of the bontrager with some old XTR stuff. So when/if I can add some new mountain bikes, it won't feel left out:) The weekends are easiest for me to get out for longer rides. We should get a bunch of folks going if people are interested.
