Hope it dries out?

This whether is crummy, hot, then thunderstorm, then hot and muggy, then thunderstorm......... I feel like I live in Oregon or some strange place like that:))) Just kidding Cory. I bet you don't get hardly any "severe weather" out there.

Like I had posted and told folks before, I wanted to get in one ride before the 24 this weekend. But the weather gods don't like me. So I will just wait and hope that the trail dries to that (I forget Greg's exact description) "optimum-sticky, traction-giving dirt". Here's for hoping:)

Alex, sorry for the short notice but hopefully you will see this before tonight. I'm going on a ride tonight and you're welcome to join. Nothing big, just a short trip out to Ada Hayden's upland trails and then onto the gravel from there and maybe north or east. No pre-planned route. I'll leave home about 8, and no more than 2 hours since I don't have much for lights. I'll check your comments before I leave to see if I should expect to find you. If you want to join, just meet at Ada Hayden's parking lot.

Actually Emily emailed me about doing a similar ride, she talked about 7 o'clock though. I can see what she thinks, and see what time you can leave. I dont' have much for lights either, she's got some decent ones.

I emailed Emily. 8's fine with me, but if we still could go at 7, it might be a bit brighter. Either way I'm planning on it.

7 works for me. see you then.

Hah, just as you wrote that Emily wrote back to me by email that she gets out of work around 6:45. So 7 would be a stretch, so I said maybe 7:30. Hope you get this, I'll be headed up there somewhere in between there. Leave your phone up here if you want, mine's 515-231-7633.

Ha! Yes, I'll plan on 7:15-7:30 with about an hour or so cushion on either end! 515-450-1229. See you then.

Talky talky.

Actually Alex it's only rained twice since I've been here. Neither rain was enough to deter riding, since both days I hit singletrack. Rain is expected to begin in a month or two and to not let up until Spring. That's the extent of the Fall/Winter seasons I guess. Suppose I'll have to make friends with Gore...Tex that is.

Yeah, I've heard just about everything explain the rain in that exact way.
