Sunday Gravel

Paul J and I are talking about a ride on gravel tomorrow. I'm riding my Kona. I was thinking of a big 'ole loop involving:

-gravel
-through Petersen and McFarland
-more gravel

We've been talking about 4:30pm, but with some rain in the forecast and various commitments, the time is still up in the air. If you want to go please comment here so we can have as many as possible:)

In other news, I'm beat, I headed out with Mario (see side link) for a fixed gear road ride. Mario shows up and mentions that he had just been on a 40+ mile intense road ride with his fixed with others on full geared. I guess this is a regular masochist thing for him:) Then we took off south into a nasty headwind. Through Boone, and back. About 45 miles or so. I didn't have enough a gear or food so that was it for me, but Mario continued on to finish a century for the day. Big fat kudos Mario, nice ride.

My day is going to pot. Call me at 641 232 0027. I am not sure if I will be able to ride now.

I remember being single and not tied down and being able to do what you want.

Not saying I am not loving married life and a teenager at home, but it does change things a bit.

Hey Paul, it's a pretty dreery, wet day for a ride. Plus I haven't had any others interested.

I forgot my cell phone at home, sorry, I checked the blog this morning and forgot to check again til I got here to work. It's about 1 now.

It sounds like you got some things to take care of today, so don't worry about it. Since I forgot my cell, I'll just try to look here to see if you still want to go. I got a really good ride in yesterday, so either way works for me.

You don't ever need to make excuses to be with your family, that's what it's all about:)

I am good to go for 4:30 if you want to go. It does look like you had a good ride in. I can't believe that Mario guy and the gear he was pushing!

I don't necessarily need to ride trails as I am sure they will be muddy, but I am up for some gravel if you want to ride.

Yeah, I was wondering if the trails would be a little mushy. We could meet somewhere between our places. It seems like 190th on 530th is about midway. If that sounds alright I can see you there at about 4:30.
