Thanks Squirrel. & Rain Pants?

So I was over at Squirrel's blog, and happened to see that he had some pics. I was also happy to see he got one of me. I also appreciated the compliment, that I was barreling down the corners with the best of them. Thanks Squirrel:)

A second note for this post: Does anyone have any suggestions for rain pants to commute in? I got soaked last night coming back from the lab where I work. I just need something light, that is completely water resistant, stays out of my chainring, and is flexible enough at the knees. Any suggestions are appreciated.

Nice job Saturday. And it even sounds like you played in conservative. Think of what you will do when you get comfortable and give it your all. Well done.

Thanks Cory. I felt really good afterwards. It is very difficult to gauge your body during that type of race. What I mean is, while gravel grinding, you can feel your body slowly deteriorate, and sort of pick back up after you rehydrate/refuel. With cross, you fly down the hills, and are laughing you're having so much fun, blast through a corner, bound through some flat sections, then hop off, pick up the bike, and go "oh shit", I can't feel my legs, and my feet are slipping, "am I going to get my foot over that 3 inch run up barrier?", then you huff at puff at the top, jam your mud with some cleat on it, into your pedal, and hop back on to your seat, bounce a bit, and roll some more, then have some more fun, maybe take a break on gravel, feel great, stretch your lungs, then hop over barriers. Phew. My point is, you have no idea where your body is! But that's cool too, cause you don't worry about it either. But next time, I'll know not to play it conservative, and not ride michelin sprints in the mud:) Maybe if you don't tell Jess, you can steal her cross-check?:)
