My bike stand

At my last apartment I  had a coat stand style bike rack.  It worked well with a couple bikes on each side of the center post, hanging in a neutral position.  However, it only held the 2 bikes, and took up more floor space than necessary since the rear wheel swung out when it was hung by the front wheel.  So I thought I'd build a slightly better one.  Using some recycled wood leftover from my folks' deck remodel, I came up with this design.  It only holds 4, but that's enough for now.  The main idea is to stand the bikes up so they are taking the least amount of floor space.  Then the bit of unbalanced weight pulls on the stand on the side where the big legs are located.  Works really well so far:
