Inside Dedacciai BB

Not great pics - it's hard to get good ones - but here's the inside of my Bianchi Virata BB.  There is this weird rib made out of ??? in the middle of the inside of the carbon insert piece.  Looks like it's supporting it - structurally.  And there's of course a lot of glue spewing from the sides.
