Sunny Sunday, Ledges, New Boone road

So it was quite the day of biking on Sunday. The morning started off hanging out with the racers at Seven Oaks. I think everyone did a really good job. We had a very cool mix of racers and bikes. Other than a few crashes and late starts, the race went off well. Everyone pushed pretty well throughout the whole race. I had a good time hanging out with Will and Jess and the rest of the spectators during the race. Though I definitely got a little sunburnt. I'll definitely do racing next time.

After the race I went out for a road ride. I headed south, west through Luther, down through ledges (twice down and out due to water over all the bridges), then back through boone and home. Cool part was, the really crummy, bump every 10 feet road from Boone was being replaced. I was super excited, cause that thing annoys the heck out of me. And it's a necessary link to rides out west. It was still under construction so don't try it unless it's Sunday. But it made for a better ride back into the wind. All-in-all, 50 miles, 2.5 hours.
