Thanks to Paul for the great route and beer. We had an amazing day for riding, about 55-65 deg. the whole ride. The gravel was in decent shape, and the scenery was as good as Iowa gets. Brian was quite a sprint, then casual kind of rider. Definitely competitive, if I hadn't had a 20oz Mountain Dew 3 hours prior I'd have done a better job keeping up, but something tells me he just likes to get "workouts in". It was a nice kick in the pants though.
I stole some pics of me-self from Paul's site. As I commented there, I always want to get a camera to take pics of these rides, but hate the idea of taking anything more than I need. As I say that, I think, "then why was I riding with Fenders?!". Yeah, offroad (see pics) with fenders, and 35 width Allterrainasaurous tires! Worked okay though, I still can't believe what a cross-check can do:)
