A few days back I bought a new Giro Atmos helmet. Mine was over 5 years old, and the chinstrap wasn't working great anymore (i.e. duct tape was involved). I liked the matte grey that I saw on the Atmos, and always need more vents (not for air, but to get my fingers in to get the bugs out:)). Also, my noggin is so long that I need a large, ugh, so I stick with the toned down colors to not make it so obnoxious.
Then today after sittin at Panera, I ran back to campus through the football crowd, and made it back in time to win some new wheels. This past week I emailed this guy offering him $225 for them, but he couldn't get a buy it now up after starting the auction. So I waited. Luckily I got them for $177. They're Shimano XT hubs, double butted spokes, to Salsa Delgado rims. Exactly what I was looking for. Well, almost, they're centerlocking hubs. But he said that the 6 bolt adapters that he used are included. So as long as that isn't a problem, I think I got a good deal. Plus there's some beefy Kendas included. According to him, there's only 6 rides on the wheels. We'll see. I'm just a little bummed, cause if I'd have gotten that surly KM I could have put my current kona wheels on it setup as a cassette SS. Bummer. Oh well, even if the center lock thing stinks, I've been waiting for bb7s to come up on ebay. So if need be I can replace my hayes hydraulic with XT mechanical center lock. We'll see:)
