new family member

So my long wait for a Karate Monkey has ended. Finally bought one Saturday morning on ebay (6am no less) for $255. It's got a couple dings, but still in fairly good shape. It's currently on a UPS truck from VT. I figure it's a good place to start a string of 29ers dedicated to single speeding. I've got my Kona's original wheels that I think I'll use. The rims look square enough to be V-brake compatible, but the finish is black - so I wonder if they just didn't sand or mask off the brake surface when they were painted. So it's either that or some more BB7s. I want to try to go V-brake though so that I could put a Tomicog on and run it fixed too. Then I just need to find some square taper, probly Race Face cranks.
