Warm and Windy fixie city tour

I haven't been out much with a lot of work stuff happening. Plus school projects are wrapping up. I decided a should get out a bit Saturday though. If nothing else but to escape the uber roudy folks with the VEISHEA festivities. So Saturday evening I went out. I decided it was probably best that I not do a full spandex road ride with my Bianchi. The hagglers would have been way too annoying at my apartment. The place was a huge mess, trash everwhere. It's getting slowly cleaned up I saw today. Most of the Saturday I was at my lab doing some quick tours for interested folks, mainly families.

So I had some good cleaning to do before I road. I used some Finish Line country lube Matt suggested. The stuff is very clingy, but also verrrrry dirty. The splatter was over my axles, dropouts, even on my rear spokes. But it was a quick cleanup, and it needed a little TLC. I'm still itching to get a lugged road frame. The ride I did went out to Lowes, then way over all the way across town to Ada Hayden. I'd love to get some other folks to do a ride like that with me. It was a lot of fun. The wind was horendous (sp?). I really think it was easy with the fixie, out on the open roads would have been terrible. Supposed to be super rainy tomorrow, so if anyone's going out Wednesday let me know.
