Let's see. Last Wednesday I headed out for a really nice, but hard road ride. I decided work was in a decent place. I swung in to Skunk and picked up a tall bottled, that happened to be insulated. (Great for condensation reduction, and okay at keeping a beverage cold). I was thinking longer that day, so I went out north then came back through boone. Ended up being a 45 mile day. Crappy part was the wind was out of the south/southeast. So it was slow going on the way back. So I was just putsin along headed east too. Crossing a highway this guy came up behind and passed me. He looked pretty typical roady racer-esque. So even though it was mile 35 I knew I'd end up trying to keep up. Boy, it was a 9 mile struggle just to attempt hanging on. He definitely had a mile an hour on me. But all I can hope is that he was pushing to stay ahead of me.
Then yesterday I headed up to West Peterson park to help Cory cleanup Peterson again. We did a ton of work for just the two of us. I couldn't believe how hot and muggy it was. Thankfully I probly went over the trails we cleaned up last week, each a couple times. There were surprisingly a lot of people on the pseudo-beach there. I went around the lake a few times on the trails, and even hit East Peterson a bit. It was great to flog the Bontrager a bit.
Then it was off to catch a late lunch at Panera and after some thesis work, dinner, and then the rec for a bit of lifting. Now it's Taraccino for an attempt at some more work. I'm quite the coffee shop hopper. Maybe a road ride is in store tonight.
