36 and single
Ok, so I'm 24 and single, but I did take a 36 mile ride on my Surly alone and with just one gear yesterday. I had the Surly with some big tires and a 46x20, but went with fast rolling 35s and 46x18. There was a good wind from the east (at my back) most of the way out. I was stoked to be able to actually strip down some of my gear. Hadn't been able to say that in awhile. But of course the way back was windy and a good bit cooler. I bet I was down to 70rpm. I'm out of shape to say the least. 36 miles with 75psi in 2hrs 20min. I gotta get another set of candys though, that and shorter cranks. It's quite alright though, I've been meaning to pickup a Ritchey Pro or WCS with an octalink, with the lack of gravel under my tires, and just one gear I could feel the friction in the Truvativ BB. They're smooth but not very spinny. Might add them to my parts pile ready for a 29er steel SS/fixed. Hope you enjoy my amateur photogging.

Paul
Who what when where? I guess I haven't been following, sorry. I saw you mention about it on your blog a couple times, but my brains been packed with my thesis stuff I'm behind on, sorry.
